Description
Supports mental performance during periods of occasional fatigue and supports the body’s normal stress response.
How It Works
Rhodiola is proposed to modulate monoamine turnover and hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis signalling. Human trials measure fatigue scales and cognitive performance under load.
Why This Form
Species authenticated by DNA barcoding, with the result published. Rhodiola is among the most adulterated botanicals in the global supply chain, routinely substituted with Rhodiola crenulata or spiked with synthetic salidroside. Standardised to the 3:1 rosavin-to-salidroside ratio found in authentic root and used in the trials. Botanical authentication is a real, verifiable, and almost entirely unclaimed competitive position.
What we rejected: Unauthenticated Rhodiola material of any origin. Salidroside-only standardisation, which synthetic material can satisfy.
The Research Behind It
Human randomized controlled trials on fatigue and cognitive performance endpoints, conducted on authenticated Rhodiola rosea.
What The Evidence Does Not Show
Trial durations in this literature are generally short and sample sizes moderate. The fatigue findings are more consistent than the cognitive ones.
