Description
Evidence Tier · Randomized Controlled Trials
KSM-66 ashwagandha root extract at 600 mg, the branded extract and daily dose used in the key human trials, with supporting vitamins and botanicals.
What It Does
Helps the body manage everyday stress and supports restful sleep.*
How It Works
Withanolides in ashwagandha root appear to modulate the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis. Trials report lower serum cortisol alongside lower perceived stress scores.
Why This Form
KSM-66 is a full-spectrum root extract standardized to 5% withanolides. Using the same extract and dose as the trials matters, because ashwagandha preparations vary widely.
Clinical Evidence
A double-blind, placebo-controlled trial gave 300 mg KSM-66 twice daily for 60 days to adults with chronic stress and measured stress scales and serum cortisol.¹ A trial at the same dose measured sleep quality and sleep onset over 10 weeks.²
What The Evidence Does Not Show
Trials ran 8 to 10 weeks. The formula also contains L-arginine, maca, Panax ginseng and shatavari at doses below those studied on their own. Not for use in pregnancy. Rare cases of liver injury have been reported with ashwagandha.
